We must give some real honest thought to our Christian Home Business Goals and how we are going to obtain them, or our time, money, and top priorities will usually be decided by other people. We must make sure that our goals are the same as what our Lord will want for us, so this thought must be a top priority when we are identifying our important life objectives and goals. This will bring a strong bonding relationship with our Lord, and it will also provide us with our greatest asset for success in achieving our goals. When the Lord is with us for achieving our goals successfully, who can be against us and stand in our way? No one!
Our Lord needs to be a part of our goals and planning, as He will be our ultimate success partner. It can also result in much healthier relationships with your family and friends, as you will obtain the peace of mind that comes from having a well-planned strategy. As Proverbs says, The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage (Proverbs 21:5).
Our Goals and Motivation (creating the Why):
To begin, I encourage you to write down each of your goals. You must also remember to keep your mind and heart open to Gods desires for you. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, a mans heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. That doesnt mean you are not supposed to make plans and set priorities. But it does mean that on occasion, you will need to adjust your focus as God reveals His true purposes for your life.
Once your objectives are written down and listed, you will then need to write down why its important for these objectives to be met. That way, youll know your motivation for each goal you set. For instance, your plan may be to have a solid 2nd income coming in from a Christian home business. Why? Perhaps you hope to live without debt or would like the assurance of having a solid 2nd income should anything happen to your health or employment status.
The why will motivate you to continue in your efforts when other things come up that could be a temptation to abandon that goal. Whats more, in order to achieve your ambitions, its important to have an idea of what your objectives are and why they are worth attaining.
Now Get Started -
Dont make the mistake of not getting started on your goals, because you feel sorry that you didnt take action on this sooner. Just determine what areas of your life could use some very specific goals, and get to work on them. It is never too late to improve your situation, whether it is about finances, relationships, or health, dont waste anymore time and just take action.
Design where you want your life to be in about six months to a year from now, and then lean on the power of God to give you all the strength you need to accomplish your goals. Have a friend or your spouse keep you accountable to your goals by having them check in with you from time to time, as this will help you stay on track.
You need to make sure that your time is well spent once you have laid out your goals, so you must sit down and organize a schedule for the days that lie ahead. By doing all of this goal planning, you will be surprised to find out that you are one of the few people to accomplish their business goals for the year. With the efforts you put out on goal planning, you will see that you have left very little undone in your business by year end.
